The Fight III - Supporting the Mark Pollock Trust

Here at Atlas Communications we are keen to continue our support of the Mark Pollock Trust in 2012 and we are literally fighting to show how much we care.

Our brave Customer Care Advisor Pauline has signed up to take part in a White Collar Boxing Programme in conjunction with a local events company, called The Fight III.  She will endure eight weeks of intense training several times each week with professional boxing coaches.

Thirty volunteers will put their bodies to the test to support a range of charities.  The training is intense and last eight long weeks, with training gradually building up to several times per week.  The fitness regime is grueling and pride is on the line when the brave individuals face each other in the ring on "Fight Night."  This will be held in the Europa Hotel on Saturday 10th March 2012 where the ultimate fighter will be crowned.

Pauline has chosen to support our company charity, The Mark Pollock Trust.

For over a decade Mark Pollock was known as an inspiration, an adventure athlete competing in the world's harshest environments despite becoming completely blind at the age of 22.On the night of the 2ndof July 2010 everything changed again. He fell from a second story window fracturing his skull, some ribs and breaking his back in a number of places leaving him paralysed from the waist down.

The Mark Pollock Trust hopes to raise significant funds to assist with the capital and ongoing costs specifically associated with his spinal injury - including a team of rehabilitation specialists, physiotherapy equipment, visits to specialised spinal injury activity-based recovery centres and mobility solutions. You can help Mark to break through the barriers that paralysis and blindness have placed around him.

We are keen to help Pauline raise as much as possible so if you would like to show your support for Pauline and for the charity please click here

"Fight Night" details will be made available as soon as possible and anyone is welcome to come along and support Pauline and the Mark Pollock Trust.
